Situated in Vauxhall, London, this boutique oyster bar takes inspiration from ice, both as a preservation element and a symbol of purity and transformation. The design is anchored in the concept of the iceberg, influencing both the visual identity and atmosphere of the space. The oyster bar, characterised by angular, softly illuminated white facets, serves as a sculptural centrepiece, echoing the crystalline qualities of ice.

This geometric language extends into the central curved wall, where glowing white surfaces blend with warm timber, creating a dialogue between the crispness of ice and an inviting ambiance. In contrast, the wine bar references the curvature of aging barrels, reinforcing the relationship between cold preservation and warm maturation. These elements interact dynamically—frozen yet fluid, crisp yet full-bodied—to craft a seamless and immersive dining experience.

The oyster bar’s iceberg-like structure features translucent white panels with diffused lighting, enhancing its sculptural presence. The wine bar’s curved timber design adds warmth and contrast, while a suspended lighting installation above the oyster bar and an integrated wine display enhance both function and aesthetic cohesion.

This boutique dining destination is designed as a multi-sensory journey through temperature, texture, and light. The interplay of ice-like precision and organic warmth reflects the delicate balance between preservation and transformation, creating a distinctive environment where architecture elevates gastronomy.
