The Allia Crescent Development is a forward-thinking residential scheme comprising 14 zero-carbon homes, located in Peterborough, England. Designed to meet the highest standards of environmental performance, the development includes a mix of detached and semi-detached dwellings that prioritise sustainable living without compromising on aesthetics or comfort.

Rooted in low-carbon design principles, the project integrates passive design strategies—such as optimal solar orientation, natural ventilation, and high levels of insulation—to minimise energy demand. Rooftop solar panels provide on-site renewable energy generation, significantly reducing the development’s operational carbon footprint. Sustainable, responsibly sourced materials—including timber cladding, white render finishes, and low-emissivity double-glazed windows—are carefully selected to enhance energy efficiency while delivering a contemporary architectural language.

The masterplan follows a gentle curved layout, optimising site conditions to offer open views, privacy, and natural light for each unit. This layout also fosters a strong sense of community through shared landscaped frontages and a cohesive visual identity.

Allia Crescent stands as a model for net-zero housing, demonstrating how thoughtful design, modern technologies, and sustainable materials can work together to create enduring, high-quality residential environments.
