Info
The Bo'ao Convention Centre will become a National Congress and Conference Centre. The Masterplan Area conceived by SURE Architecture encompasses various landscape elements of farmland, forest and meadow.
The aim of the design is to build an international tourist island in Hainan as an opportunity to enhance the natural landscape of Bo'ao. Outstanding conference and exhibition areas and an international tourist resort are the main concepts. Bo'ao is expected to become one of the major tourist destinations for the current international tourism island of Hainan. The design keeps the original ecology of the low-density and low-intensity development combined with the natural outstanding feature of Bo'ao Watertown. It protects the natural landscape of the island and is one of the main focuses of the development.
The international conference center is the main use of the area complimented by an exhibition center as well as sport and leisure facilities. The international tourist resort, hotels, guest houses and holiday apartments are some of the residential facilities in the area. All of these are integrated into a natural ecological landscape on the site.
Relationship and connection of the architecture with the natural landscape are the inspirations behind the urban concept. Architecture and landscape has an armored relationship having no breaks between architectural space and public landscape space. A continuous language in the design connects all the different spaces. Fluent movement across the whole site allows the visitors to have an easy understanding of the islands.
